Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Design Engineer to prepare HVAC system designs, drawings, calculations, BOQs, and technical documentation for commercial, residential, industrial, and other MEP projects. The candidate will coordinate with project, estimation, procurement, and site teams to ensure designs are technically accurate and practical for execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare HVAC system designs as per project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Develop HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts, equipment layouts, and schematic drawings.
- Prepare HVAC design calculations including cooling load, ventilation, fresh air, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
- Prepare BOQ, material take-off, and technical specifications based on approved designs.
- Select suitable HVAC equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and ventilation equipment.
- Prepare and review AutoCAD drawings and coordinate MEP drawings.
- Review architectural, structural, and other MEP drawings to identify design requirements and clashes.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, consultants, vendors, and clients for design-related requirements.
- Modify drawings and designs based on site conditions, client requirements, and consultant comments.
- Prepare technical submissions, material submittals, equipment schedules, and other design documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, relevant HVAC standards, and company quality requirements.
- Provide technical support to the estimation, procurement, and execution teams.
- Conduct site visits when required to understand site conditions and resolve design-related issues.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, calculations, and technical documents.
- Support project teams in resolving technical and installation-related issues.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of ducting, piping, ventilation, chilled water, VRF/VRV, and air-conditioning systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC load calculations and equipment selection.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation and material estimation.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with project teams.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC design and MEP projects.
- Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure HVAC projects will be preferred.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be technically strong, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple HVAC design requirements while meeting project deadlines.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
