Dedicated Personal Driver & Mobility Assistance Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly compassionate, patient, trustworthy, and service-oriented professional driver to provide safe, dignified, and dependable transportation for a differently-abled passenger. This role goes far beyond standard driving duties. The selected individual will serve as a mobility support companion who understands the importance of empathy, discretion, respect, and attentive assistance.
The ideal candidate must be emotionally mature, calm under pressure, physically capable of assisting with wheelchair transfers and portable ramp setup, and genuinely committed to making every journey comfortable and stress-free.

Key Responsibilities
Driving Duties
- Safely operate automatic and manual vehicles
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws
- Plan efficient routes and alternate paths
- Drive within Chennai and throughout India
- Undertake overnight and multi-day trips when required
Mobility Assistance
- Assist passenger in entering and exiting the vehicle
- Safely load, unload, fold, and secure manual or powered wheelchairs
- Set up and dismantle portable ramps
- Ensure wheelchair and equipment are properly secured
Passenger Support
- Escort the passenger to appointments, airports, hotels, hospitals, and offices
- Provide support during boarding and alighting
- Wait during meetings or appointments when needed
Vehicle Maintenance
- Keep the vehicle clean and sanitized
- Conduct routine checks (fuel, tyres, battery, fluids)
- Coordinate servicing and repairs
Travel Coordination
- Support with luggage and assistive devices
- Manage tolls, parking, and route planning
- Handle unforeseen travel issues calmly
Special Skills Required
- Safe wheelchair handling and securing techniques
- Portable ramp deployment and storage
- Basic understanding of accessibility and transfer safety
- Defensive driving skills
- Familiarity with GPS and navigation apps
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5–10 years of professional driving experience
- Valid Indian LMV Driving Licence with clean record
- Experience assisting senior citizens or differently-abled passengers
- Ability to communicate in Tamil and basic English (Hindi is an advantage)
- Physically fit to lift and handle mobility equipment
- Flexible with work hours and travel schedules
Mandatory Requirements
- Aadhaar Card and PAN Card
- Valid driving licence
- Non-smoker and no alcohol or substance use during duty
- Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement if required
Preferred Experience
Candidates with prior experience in:
- Personal chauffeur services
- Medical transportation
- Executive driving
- Disability support services
- Elder care assistance
Working Conditions
