Job Summary
Autocast is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Store Incharge to manage factory stores efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inventory control, stock management, documentation, material issuance, and coordination with production, purchase, accounts, quality, and dispatch teams. The role requires excellent computer proficiency, strong inventory management skills, and the ability to ensure smooth material flow with complete accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, consumables, finished goods, tools, and spare parts.
- Monitor daily stock levels and ensure physical inventory matches system records.
- Record all material receipts, issues, returns, and transfers accurately.
- Maintain minimum, reorder, and maximum stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Follow FIFO (First In First Out) and other approved inventory management practices.
Stock Verification
- Conduct monthly physical verification of raw materials, consumables, finished goods, and stores & spares.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and prepare reconciliation reports.
- Submit monthly stock verification reports to management.
Documentation
- Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips, Delivery Challans, Gate Passes, and all store-related documentation.
- Ensure all inward and outward transactions are properly recorded and audit-ready.
- Maintain organized records for smooth internal and external audits.
Procurement Support
- Arrange emergency procurement of locally available materials and consumables whenever required.
- Coordinate with approved vendors for urgent purchases after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical materials.
Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Purchase, Accounts, Quality, and Dispatch teams for uninterrupted material flow.
- Ensure timely availability of materials for production.
- Support dispatch operations by maintaining accurate finished goods inventory.
ERP & Computer Operations
- Update inventory records through ERP software or Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Maintain stock ledgers and generate inventory reports with complete accuracy.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled storage areas.
- Ensure safe material stacking and storage practices.
- Follow company safety guidelines and maintain 5S standards within the store.
Audit & Compliance
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
- Assist management in implementing inventory and process improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory and store management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and computer operations.
- Experience working with ERP or inventory management software.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent material requirements.
- High level of honesty, accountability, and attention to detail.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate or Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related discipline (Preferred).
- 3–7 years of experience in store and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Foundry, Engineering, or Automotive industries will be an added advantage.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain inventory accuracy of 99% or above.
- Timely completion of monthly stock verification reports.
- Zero unauthorized stock movements.
- Minimum production downtime due to material shortages.
- Accurate documentation of all inventory transactions.
