Urgently required for the post of Surface Grinding Machine Operator
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate surface grinding machines for precision grinding work.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Select appropriate grinding wheels and tools based on material and job requirements.
- Perform grinding operations to achieve required dimensions and surface finish.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during operation.
- Measure finished components using instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and height gauges.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and tolerances.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure proper lubrication.
- Maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area (5S practices).
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper PPE.
Skills & Requirements:
- Knowledge of surface grinding operations and wheel selection.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Attention to detail and quality-oriented approach.
- Basic understanding of shop floor safety practices.
Qualification:
- ITI in Machinist / Turner / Grinder or equivalent.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in surface grinding operations.
Working Conditions:
- Shop floor environment.
- Rotational shifts as per production requirements.
