JOB DESCRIPTION: Special Educator

Suryoday Trust offers special education and therapies to individuals with special needs. It operates two branches in Bhuigaon, Vasai (W) and Bhayandar (E). The school provides holistic education helping students develop essential life skills, build independence, and work towards sustainable livelihoods.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
l Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
l Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on each student's abilities.
l Adapt teaching methods, learning materials, and classroom activities to meet individual learning needs.
l Provide individualized attention to students who require additional support.
l Monitor student progress and maintain assessment records and documentation.
l Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
l Participate in school activities, meetings, and training sessions.
l Ensure classroom discipline and adherence to school policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
l Prior teaching or classroom experience is preferred.
l Minimum qualification: Diploma in Special Education (D.Ed. Spl. Ed.) or Bachelor of Special Education (B.Ed. Spl. Ed.).
l Passionate about teaching and working with children.
l Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
