The Delivery Boy is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of shipments to customers while maintaining excellent customer service. The role involves handling parcels with care, collecting required documents or payments (if applicable), and following company policies and delivery schedules.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:1. Delivery Operations
- Deliver parcels, documents, and shipments safely and on time.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules efficiently.
- Verify shipment details before dispatch.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within the committed turnaround time (TAT).
- Obtain customer signatures or digital proof of delivery (POD) after successful delivery.
2. Shipment Handling
- Handle packages carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Load and unload shipments safely.
- Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments immediately.
- Ensure proper handling of fragile or high-value consignments.
3. Customer Service
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with customers.
- Resolve basic customer queries related to deliveries.
- Communicate delivery delays or issues promptly.
- Maintain a positive company image during customer interactions.
4. Documentation
- Collect Proof of Delivery (POD) signatures.
- Submit delivery reports and undelivered shipment details daily.
- Collect Cash on Delivery (COD) payments, where applicable, and deposit them as per company policy.
- Ensure all delivery records are accurate and complete.
5. Vehicle & Safety
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good working condition.
- Follow all traffic rules and road safety regulations.
- Ensure valid driving license and vehicle documents are carried at all times.
- Report vehicle maintenance issues immediately.
6. Communication
- Stay connected with the operations team throughout the delivery schedule.
- Update delivery status in the company's mobile application or system.
- Inform the supervisor about delivery exceptions, customer complaints, or route challenges.
7. Compliance
- Follow all company policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
- Wear the company uniform and ID card while on duty.
- Adhere to attendance and reporting schedules.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
