Construction Methods Engineer
Skilled Construction Methods Engineer to support Operations and Tender teams in planning, developing, and implementing efficient and practical construction methodologies for complex construction activities.
The candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, detailing, and developing construction methods with a strong focus on safety, constructability, productivity, cost, equipment utilization, and execution feasibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and detail construction methods for Operations and Tenders.
- Develop methodologies for precast works, erection, handling, and yard operations.
- Design foundations for infrastructure facilities, heavy equipment, cranes, and temporary facilities.
- Develop solutions for deep excavation, shoring, strutting, anchoring, and dewatering.
- Develop complex formwork, staging, scaffolding, and temporary works solutions.
- Plan temporary infrastructure for cast-in-situ and precast projects.
- Prepare construction sequences, equipment requirements, methodology drawings, and technical proposals.
- Review methods for safety, constructability, productivity, cost, and schedule.
- Coordinate with EDRC/design teams on constructability for Design & Build projects.
- Support Operations in resolving construction methodology and execution challenges.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, mechanization, standardization, and value engineering.
Required Skills
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering with relevant construction experience.
- Knowledge of construction methods, temporary works, precast, formwork, excavation, and heavy construction.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and develop 2D/3D methodology concepts.
- Good analytical, planning, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to develop safe, economical, and practical construction solutions.
