Job Requirements
a) Job Profile :
- Managing various Cloud Data warehouses & Data lakes - Redshift (mandatory) / RDS/DynamoDB / S3, etc
- Interaction with relevant Teams both internal and external partners for trouble-shooting and solutions.
b) Key Deliverables ( Quantifiable dimensions ) of the job :
- Manage, support and maintain database environments adhering to the architectural guidelines, policies, and best practices.
- Take a key role in understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues
- Install and maintain the administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of the client's system - Perform day to day and long term monitoring of system health as it relates to database usage and performance.
- Design & maintain procedures and putting them into operation.
- Diagnose and resolves database performance, capacity and replication issues. Perform research into database performance issues and come up with solutions to address those concerns.
- Produces reports on database systems related to availability, performance, capacity management and SLAs.
- Implement & maintain security for DW ( including row-level ,column level, encryption , masking,etc).
- Able to create and implement effective Backup and Recovery plans .
- Defining procedure for critical activity and simulating such as restoring of backup etc
- Configuring and maintaining environment copies according to the Backup & DR strategy.
- Perform physical implementation of databases, storage structures, high-availability solutions such as multi-AZ, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Work with engineering teams to optimize data costs for their products and domains.
- Identifying,, suggesting and initiating areas of improvements .
Creation and maintenance of Operational manuals of all tasks associated with administration .
Work Experience
- Having minimum 02-03 years’ experience in above specified areas (Database Administrator role) , with Minimum of 01 years of experience working In AWS cloud data storage solutions ,including Columnar DB solution Redshift , RDBMS solution Relational Database Service (RDS), or Aurora .
- Experience of managing landscapes end to end independently.
- Experience with design and implementation of database structures.
- Excellent ability to work collaboratively with distributed cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
- Certifications would be preferred.
- Educational Qualifications : BE,MCA, MSC-IT from any reputed/recognized university.
