About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and highly qualified TGT Chemistry Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students in classes 6 to 10, delivering an engaging, Cambridge/IGCSE aligned curriculum and creating a dynamic, hands-on laboratory environment. You will build foundational scientific skills and prepare students for examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver interactive, well-structured lessons in Chemistry (and general science) following the prescribed IGCSE guidelines.
- Laboratory Management: Organize and conduct safe, supervised chemistry practicals. Ensure all laboratory safety protocols are strictly followed by students.
- Student Assessment: Design formative and summative assessments, including assignments, quizzes, and term exams. Provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement. Adapt teaching strategies to support students of varying abilities, providing remedial assistance to low achievers and advanced challenges for gifted learners.
- Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and behavior, including active participation in Parent-Teacher Meetings.
- Extracurricular Activities: Promote interest in STEM by assisting with science fairs, exhibitions, and extracurricular science clubs.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest educational trends and participate in school-sponsored training workshops.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or a Master's degree in Chemistry from a recognized university.
- Teaching Certification: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Chemistry at the IGCSE environment.
- Skills: Strong English communication skills, classroom management abilities, and proficiency in using educational technology.
