The Logistics Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing inbound and outbound logistics activities for the high-voltage switchgear manufacturing unit. The role ensures timely receipt of materials, proper storage and movement of inventory, accurate dispatch of finished goods, and compliance with company, statutory, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Logistics and Dispatch
- Plan and coordinate dispatch of finished switchgear panels, breakers, accessories, and spare parts.
- Ensure packaging, labeling, and transportation arrangements meet product protection requirements.
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as invoices, packing lists, and delivery challans.
- Track shipments until final delivery and resolve transit-related issues.
- Coordinate with project/site teams, freight partners, and customers as required.
2. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with procurement, planning, production, quality, finance, and warehouse teams.
- Align logistics activities with manufacturing schedules and project delivery commitments.
- Communicate material shortages, delays, and dispatch status in a timely manner.
- Support urgent material movement and priority dispatch requirements.
3. Compliance, Safety, and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, transport regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Follow safety standards for handling heavy, fragile, and electrical equipment.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation for audits and traceability.
- Support incident reporting for damage, delay, shortage, or dispatch discrepancies.
4. Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare regular reports on inbound/outbound movements, inventory status, and shipment progress.
- Monitor logistics performance indicators such as delivery timeliness, stock accuracy, and damage rates.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance service levels.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the logistics function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, or heavy engineering industries is preferred.
