Description:
Responsible for material requirement planning, procurement coordination, and ensuring timely availability of electronic components for production. The role bridges Production Planning (PPC), Purchase, and Stores to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent line stoppages.
Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Sourcing
i. Source electronic components such as PCBs, semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, connectors, and other raw materials
ii. Float RFQs, evaluate quotations, and finalize vendors
iii. Ensure timely procurement aligned with production schedules
2. Vendor Management
i. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with OEMs, distributors, and local vendors
ii. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
iii. Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery
3. Cost Control & Negotiation
i. Drive cost reduction initiatives through negotiation and alternate sourcing
ii. Monitor market trends and pricing of electronic components
iii. Ensure procurement within budget targets
4. Inventory & Planning Coordination
i. Coordinate with Production Planning (PPC) and Stores for material requirements
ii. Maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid shortages/excess
iii. Follow up with vendors for on-time delivery
5. Documentation & Compliance
i. Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs)
ii. Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor documentation
iii. Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements
6. ERP & Reporting
i. Work on Zoho for procurement tracking
ii. Generate MIS reports on procurement status, cost savings, and vendor performance
Desired Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electronics & Communication engineering, Supply Chain Management
Desired Experience
· 2-4 years in planning / procurement in EMS or manufacturing industry
Knowledge & Skills
· Strong understanding of BOM, MRP, and supply chain planning
· Familiarity with Zoho and MS office
· Attention to detail and analytical mindset
· Good coordination and communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
