BBPS Product Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven BBPS Product Specialist to manage, support, and enhance Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the BBPS ecosystem, biller onboarding, payment operations, product implementation, and stakeholder management. This role will work closely with business, technology, operations, compliance, and external partners to drive product growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support BBPS product operations, integrations, and enhancements.
- Coordinate with billers, aggregators, banks, and technology partners for onboarding and implementation.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional product specifications.
- Monitor transaction performance, reconciliation, settlement processes, and service quality.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement new features and product improvements.
- Ensure compliance with guidelines issued by National Payments Corporation of India and other regulatory authorities.
- Support biller onboarding, testing, certification, and go-live activities.
- Analyze product performance metrics and recommend optimization strategies.
- Manage issue resolution and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare product documentation, training materials, and operational reports.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in BBPS, Digital Payments, Banking, FinTech, Payment Operations, or Product Management.
- Strong understanding of the BBPS ecosystem, bill payment workflows, and transaction lifecycle.
- Experience working with banks, payment aggregators, billers, or FinTech organizations.
- Knowledge of digital payment systems such as BBPS, UPI, IMPS, AEPS, and payment gateways.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in BBPOU, BOU, or payment processing organizations.
- Knowledge of reconciliation, settlements, and payment operations.
- Understanding of KYC, AML, risk management, and compliance processes.
- Experience with API integrations and payment technology platforms.
- Exposure to merchant payments, utility bill payments, and financial services products.

Pay: ₹317,385.14 - ₹1,378,173.44 per year
