Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, process, and maintain clinical specimens such as blood, urine, sputum, swabs, stool, and other samples.
- Perform routine microbiological investigations, including Gram staining, culture, identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
- Prepare and maintain culture media, reagents, stains, and laboratory supplies.
- Operate, clean, calibrate, and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment.
- Record and verify test results accurately and promptly.
- Follow SOPs, infection-control practices, biosafety procedures, and quality-control protocols.
- Maintain proper documentation, registers, and laboratory records.
- Handle infectious specimens and biomedical waste according to hospital safety guidelines.
- Assist microbiologists with specialized tests and investigations when required.
- Report abnormal or critical findings promptly to the appropriate senior staff.
- Participate in internal quality control, audits, proficiency testing, and laboratory accreditation activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Ensure adequate stock of reagents, media, consumables, and other laboratory materials.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
