Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Academic Counsellor who has strong knowledge of NEET counselling and medical admissions. The ideal candidate should be confident in handling parents, converting qualified leads into admissions, and mentoring junior counsellors.
This is a target-driven role suited for someone who enjoys interacting with students, building trust with families, and delivering outstanding counselling experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents regarding MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, MD/MS, Engineering and other professional admissions.
- Explain counselling procedures including MCC, KEA, state counselling and private university admission processes.
- Understand each student's NEET rank, category, budget and preferences to recommend suitable colleges.
- Handle enquiries generated through website, social media, phone calls and walk-ins.
- Convert qualified leads into paid counselling and admission services.
- Conduct counselling through phone, WhatsApp, Google Meet and face-to-face meetings.
- Maintain accurate lead records and follow-up schedules in the CRM.
- Build long-term relationships with students and parents throughout the admission cycle.
- Resolve queries professionally and provide timely updates.
- Guide junior counsellors and assist with their training whenever required.
- Achieve monthly counselling, revenue and conversion targets.
- Stay updated with changing counselling rules, seat matrix, fee structures and admission notifications.
Required Skills
- Excellent English, Hindi and one of the south regional language communication skills (additional languages are an advantage).
- Strong counselling and consultative selling abilities.
- Ability to build trust with parents and students.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Excellent objection handling and negotiation skills.
- Strong follow-up discipline.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Ability to work under pressure during counselling seasons.
Eligibility
- Graduate in any discipline (Postgraduate preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in education counselling or medical admissions.
- Prior experience in NEET counselling or education consultancy is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving admission or sales targets.
- Experience handling high-value admissions will be an added advantage.
