Job Summary:
The Estimation and Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bills for high-rise building projects. This role involves coordination with the design, planning, and execution teams to ensure cost control and compliance with contract requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimation:
Study architectural and structural drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
Prepare quantity take-offs for civil items (concrete, reinforcement, formwork, finishes, etc.).
Estimate cost based on current market rates and supplier/vendor quotations.
Assist in tendering processes and cost comparison.
Support procurement team with quantity inputs and material requirements.
Billing:
Prepare RA (Running Account) bills and final bills as per contract terms.
Coordinate with site execution team for work measurement and reconciliation.
Prepare client and subcontractor billing with supporting documents.
Ensure timely submission and approval of bills.
Keep records of variations, extra items, and deviations for claims and billing adjustments.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain updated records of quantities, rates, and billing status.
Track material consumption vs. estimates.
Provide cost reports and billing status to management.
Participate in internal and external audits related to project cost and billing.
Co-ordination:
Liaise with site engineers, quantity surveyors, and planning teams.
Resolve discrepancies between site measurements and drawings.
Assist in monthly project reviews with billing and estimation updates.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices in high-rise construction.
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, Primavera, HIGHRISE SOFTWARE etc.).
Excellent understanding of BOQ formats and billing standards
Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Good communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
Educational Qualification:
B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering (Diploma holders with experience may also be considered)
Experience Required:
3–7 years of relevant experience in estimation and billing for high-rise residential or commercial building projects.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
