Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Banquet Sales Manager / Head – Business Development to drive business growth across corporate catering, weddings, social events, and institutional segments. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, managing strategic partnerships, and achieving revenue targets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, catering, banquet sales, or event management, along with proven experience in business development and client acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify and acquire new clients across corporate, wedding, and social event segments.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue objectives.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure.
- Generate repeat business through relationship-building and account management.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and key decision-makers.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial agreements.
- Conduct negotiations and finalize contracts.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention.
Partnerships & Business Alliances
- Develop relationships with banquet venues, wedding venues, event planners, and hospitality partners.
- Establish partnerships with corporate organizations and institutions.
- Identify new channels and referral opportunities to expand business reach.
Market Expansion
- Explore opportunities in institutional catering, production houses, private events, and corporate catering.
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams.
Team Leadership
- Lead and support the business development function.
- Guide and mentor team members to achieve individual and team targets.
- Monitor sales pipeline, conversion ratios, and performance metrics.
- Ensure alignment with business objectives and sales strategies.
Brand Representation
- Represent the organization during client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
- Support initiatives that enhance brand visibility and market presence.
- Contribute to strengthening the company's position within the hospitality and catering industry.
Required Skills

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, banquet sales, hospitality sales, catering sales, or event management.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
