Front Desk Receptionist – Job Description
Position Overview
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing front desk operations, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain calendars
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable reception area
- Provide basic information to clients and guests about the company’s services
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in any field of study is preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-line phone systems
- Familiarity with office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners)
- Basic knowledge of office management procedures
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
