About Market Dialogue
Market Dialogue is a financial news media platform covering markets, business, and the economy. We are building a fast-moving, digital-first newsroom and are looking for a journalist intern to join our editorial team.
Role Overview
We are looking for a journalist intern to research, write, and help produce financial and business news content. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who wants real newsroom experience covering markets and business stories under tight timelines.
Responsibilities
Track daily market and business news and identify relevant stories
Research and write news articles, explainers, and short-form content on financial and business topics
Assist with fact-checking and verifying data before publication
Support the editorial team with interview transcription, background research, and source follow-up
Help repurpose written content for social media formats where required
Coordinate with the editorial team on story pitches and coverage plans
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in journalism, mass communication, economics, finance, or a related field
Strong written English and ability to explain financial concepts clearly
Interest in business, markets, and financial news
Comfortable working with deadlines
Prior writing samples, a blog, or published work is a plus but not mandatory
