QUALIFICATION
- 12th class pass from a recognized central/state level board. He shall have successfully completed six months course In firefighting from central/state Govt Recognized institution or minimum one year experience in firefighting, for which document evidence to be provided.
PHYSICAL STANDARD
- All Fire Personnel will be examined for medical and physical fitness. Minimum height 165cm, weight 50 kg and eye sight 6/6
- Chest Normal 81 cm, on expansion 85 cm.
- Before deployment all employees will be undergoing pre- medical test ana those found fit will only be deployed.
DUTIES OF FIREMAN
Fireman will be deployed in three shift each of eight hou ~ The duties of the fireman are as follows
- They shall report for duty in time and remain in proper uniform in the course of duty.
- Be available at the fire station or any other place assigned for duty and be ready to attend any fire call or other emergencies.
- They should be proficient in their job, both practically and theoretically.
- No fireman shall leave his place of dwty unless properly re-Ieaved or return permission is taken from Fire Officer or Duty Officer.
- They shall obey the orders of their shift-in-charge/ Crew-in-charge.
- They shall not consume liquor whilst on duty or at least six hours before reporting for duty. They shall not consume any type of drugs.
- They shall be responsible for clean ship of area in and around fire station. They shall also assist in the rnalntenance of fire tenders.
- They are responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of fire station, polishing and painting of equipment, appliances, hydrant points. fire stand and fir ~ points, proper cleaning / drying of hoses, cleaning of walls, doors and windows cf the buildings garages etc
- They shall refrain from involvement In any argument with their senior. However, matters where any fireman feels to have suffered any ill treatment of lnjustice at the hands of his superior, the same may be brought to notice of the fire officer for Investigation and remedial action.
- They shall remain alert on duty and act smartly during any fire exercise Of actual incident of fire.
- Perform parade and drills as per scheduled routine or such other duties as may be ordered by the superiors and attend all kinds of authorized drills practices relating to the fire services, in and outside fire station.
- Remain in proper uniform dllring his duty hours and both the outgoing and Incoming batches will have to fall-ln during changeover of duties In proper uniform
