Role Purpose For US:
Generate qualified leads for IT services (custom software development)
targeting Education & MedTech clients in Australia, UK, USA and Africa. You
find prospects, make first contact, qualify their needs, nurture them, won the
deal and hand to BA/Founders for further execution. You will also be involved
in building and maintaining long-term relationships with existing and
potential clients.
Current Team: 2 people doing lead generation
Your Role: Upgrade from basic lead gen to strategic business development
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Outbound and Inbound lead generation/management.
● Generate leads via cold-calling, email marketing, events, and LinkedIn.
● Use Upwork bidding and B2B IT sales strategies to pitch our web
development, mobile application, and DevOps services to prospective
clients.
● Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to research and connect with decision-
makers and influencers in the target accounts.
● Use CRM software and lead moderation tools to manage and track the
sales pipeline and activities.
● Proactively hunt for new business opportunities outside the existing or
traditional client base through market and account research, sales
events, networking, and other programs.
● Monitor and report on all sales activities and performance against
quarterly/yearly goals.
● Collaborate with the technical and delivery teams to ensure smooth
project execution and delivery.
● Collaborate with the BA / PM for the proper client handover
● Building and maintaining long-term relationships with existing and
potential clients.
JD - Business Development Executive
Must have Qualifications / Experience:
● Education: Bachelor's degree in Business with IT/computer science,
Marketing, Communications, or related field OR equivalent practical
experience (self-taught hustlers welcome if you can demonstrate
results).
● 3-5 years of experience in business development / B2B sales,
preferably in the IT industry. Education / MedTech are addons.
● Positive and self-motivated team player with an excellent networker.
● Ability to work with quarterly/yearly goals.
● Willingness to travel as required: events/conferences
● Flexible with work timing
● Knowledge of AI tools and growth platforms
● Vast connections of clients and core networks in Australia, UK and USA
● Proven track record of meeting/exceeding lead generation targets
Tool Proficiency:
● LinkedIn (Sales Navigator)
● Email tools for Cold email campaign
● CRM (Odoo, HubSpot or similar)
● Zoom/Google Meet, Calendly (scheduling)
● Google Sheets
● AI tools like Lovable, Walaxy and other
● Apollo.io or Hunter.io
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points):
● Experience selling to Australia/UK markets
● Understanding of Education or MedTech industries
● Experience with outbound sales tools (Apollo, Hunter, LinkedIn Sales
Navigator)
● Basic understanding of web/mobile development
● Prior agency or startup experience
● Network in target industries
Skills:
● Communication: Excellent English (written + spoken): you'll talk to
Australia/UK clients
● Prospecting: Know how to find and engage decision-makers on
LinkedIn

● Qualification: Can ask smart questions to separate tire-kickers from
real buyers
● Tech-aware: Understand basic IT concepts (web apps, mobile apps,
APIs), not coding, just terminology
● Organized: Manage 100+ prospects in pipeline without losing track
● Self-starter: Don't need constant supervision, figure things out
● Results-driven: Motivated by hitting targets
● Collaborative: Work well with BA and founders (not lone wolf)
● Professional: Represent company well in all interactions
● Persistent: Follow up 5-7 times without being annoying
● Resilient: Comfortable with rejection

● Pushy/aggressive sales style (we build relationships, not pressure)
● "Spray and pray" approach (send 1000 generic messages)
● Not tech-savvy (can't understand what clients need)
● Poor communicator (unclear, unprofessional)
● Needs hand-holding (we need self-starters)
● Short-term focus (just want quick commission, don't care about fit)
