Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new “Connect” platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQ’s data and insights to innovate and grow. Feeding data into the “Connect” platform are also a set of large scale applications that process millions of records of data every day.
As a Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now the platform for which we are hiring is based in Java, ExtJS (Sencha), Angular, Spring Boot, Tom Cat, Oracle, Elastic Search, Mongo, Azure Cloud and we continue to adopt the best of breed in cloud-native, low-latency technologies. We value CI/CD in everything that we develop. Our team is co-located and agile, with central technology hubs in Chicago, Madrid, Toronto and Chennai.
What you’ll do

Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans.

Prepare test cases, test scripts and test data (Manual or Automation).

Execute test cases (manual or automated), analyze results and track software testing metrics.

Report defects and assist in their understanding.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Proactively identify and suggest improvements / new technologies that can improve the platform in terms of speed, quality and cost.
Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

3-6 years of software development experience.

Strong knowledge of functional, Performance testing.

Good knowledge and working experience on both Manual and Automation Testing.

Good knowledge and experience with Katalon studio, Selenium and SQL (preferably Oracle).

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-
Experience in Java, Python scripting, Performance testing tools an added advantage.
