At Kumon we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Instructor to join our team. As a Kumon Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching math and reading to children in our program. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience, a strong aptitude for working with children, and the ability to explain difficult concepts to children in a clear and concise manner.
Duties:
- Provide one-on-one or group sessions to students offline and online
- Assess students' learning needs and develop personalized lesson plans
- Help students understand and complete assignments, homework
- Teach study skills and strategies to improve academic performance
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' educational goals
- Utilize instructional materials and resources effectively
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
- Experience teaching math and reading to children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children
- Experience working with preschool, elementary, middle, or high school students
- Familiarity with different teaching methods and learning styles
- Knowledge of subject matter in areas such as Math and English
- Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet the individual needs of students
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and teachers
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is a plus
