As an Associate Data Architect at Aivar Innovations, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data architectures for our customers. You will work closely with senior architects, data engineers, and customer teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions. Design and implement data models, data pipelines, and lake/warehouse architectures on AWS

Support development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to business objectives

Assist in architecting end-to-end data flows across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers

Evaluate and recommend appropriate data storage paradigms (relational, columnar, NoSQL, graph)

Build and manage data infrastructure on AWS services including S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation

Implement data governance policies, access controls, and data cataloguing using AWS-native tools

Participate in the design and deployment of data solutions leveraging Aivar's Datagent accelerator platform

Collaborate on cloud-native ETL/ELT pipelines using Glue, dbt, Spark, or equivalent frameworks

Engage with customer teams to gather data requirements and translate them into architectural recommendations

Produce architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution blueprints

Contribute to Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, and data strategy deliverables

Support QA and performance tuning of data solutions across environments

Work alongside senior architects to build reusable frameworks and accelerators

Participate in internal knowledge sharing, architecture reviews, and capability building

Stay current with developments in cloud data platforms, AI/ML data tooling, and modern data stacks

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field
-
2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture roles

Experience working with structured and semi-structured data in cloud environments (AWS preferred)

Exposure to data modeling techniques: Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault

Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages: Python, Scala, or Java

Working knowledge of AWS data services: S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, Lake Formation

Familiarity with data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar orchestrators

Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management

Experience with BI/visualization tools such as QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus

AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) or AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty

Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, or Databricks

Exposure to real-time data streaming using Kinesis, Kafka, or similar platforms

Knowledge of MLOps or AI/ML data pipelines is an advantage

Prior consulting or customer-facing experience in a technology services environment
