A Fire Alarm Service Engineer installs, tests, inspects, and repairs commercial and residential fire alarm systems. They diagnose wiring faults, program control panels, and ensure all life safety equipment complies with local and national fire codes
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and test fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, and panels on a regular schedule.
- Troubleshoot and repair short circuits, ground faults, and broken devices.
- Program addressable fire alarm control panels and configure system software.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Write clear service reports and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
- Respond to emergency service calls and client repair requests.
