5. Job Summary
A Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new sales leads, pitching services or products to new clients, maintaining a good working relationship with new contacts, and overseeing new market research. The primary goal is to generate new revenue for the company.
6. Key Responsibilities
· Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Identifying and researching prospective clients or businesses (prospects) to generate new sales opportunities.
Initiating contact with potential clients through cold calls, emails, social media, and networking.
Qualifying leads to ensure they fit the company's target market criteria.
· Sales & Presentation:
Creating and delivering professional, compelling presentations/pitches of the company's products or services to prospective clients.
Negotiating and closing sales deals, aiming to meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas.
Handling client objections effectively and professionally.
· Relationship Management:
Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships with new accounts.
Collaborating with sales teams, marketing, and technical staff to ensure a smooth transition of new accounts.
· Strategy & Reporting:
Developing a strategic sales plan to penetrate new markets or industries.
Tracking and reporting sales activities, pipeline status, and results using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Staying up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market changes.
7. Required Skills & Qualifications
· Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and active listening abilities.
· Negotiation & Persuasion: Proven ability to negotiate and close business deals.
· Goal-Oriented: Highly motivated and target-driven with a strong desire to succeed.
· Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
· Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
· Proven work experience as a Business Development Executive, Sales Executive, or a relevant role.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
