Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer – GitHub Enterprise Migration
Experience: 8+ Years

We are looking for an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer with expertise in GitHub Enterprise migrations and CI/CD modernization. The ideal candidate should have proven experience leading large-scale migrations from Azure DevOps (ADO), Perforce, Bitbucket, SVN, or similar SCM platforms to GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions. This role requires strong technical leadership, migration strategy expertise, and exposure to Java-based enterprise applications.
- Lead end-to-end migration of repositories and CI/CD pipelines from ADO and other SCMs to GitHub Enterprise.
- Design and implement GitHub Actions workflows, YAML pipeline conversion, and migration automation.
- Provide technical leadership for migration platforms, architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Review solution designs, APIs, security, observability, and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless migration and CI/CD validation.
- Drive repository optimization, branch strategy, permissions mapping, and workflow modernization.
- Mentor engineering teams, conduct code/design reviews, and resolve complex migration challenges.
- 8+ years of DevOps/Platform Engineering experience.
- 3+ years leading GitHub Enterprise migration projects.
- Strong expertise in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Repos & Pipelines.
- Experience migrating from Perforce, Bitbucket, SVN, or similar SCM tools.
- CI/CD pipeline migration, YAML workflow translation, and secrets management.
- Strong knowledge of Git, repository management, branching strategies, and version control best practices.
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Automation using Python and Shell scripting.
- Experience with GitHub APIs, Azure DevOps REST APIs, and migration tooling.
