Job Summary
The Senior Planning Manager is responsible for leading the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls functions across multiple commercial interior fit-out projects nationwide. The role ensures effective project execution through robust planning strategies, resource optimization, progress monitoring, risk management, and performance reporting. The position works closely with Project Management, Design, Procurement, QS, Contracts, MEP, and Site Execution teams to drive timely project delivery and achieve organizational objectives. The role also provides strategic leadership to the planning team and supports business growth through improved project control practices.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, review, and approve detailed project schedules for multiple commercial interior fit-out projects.
- Establish project baselines, milestones, critical paths, and execution strategies.
- Ensure planning standards, methodologies, and best practices are implemented across all projects.
Project Monitoring & Controls
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify schedule variances.
- Conduct delay analysis, impact assessments, and recovery planning.
- Develop corrective action plans in coordination with project teams.
Resource & Productivity Management
- Lead resource planning and utilization across projects.
- Monitor manpower, material, equipment, and subcontractor deployment.
- Analyze productivity trends and recommend improvement measures.
Reporting & Management Reviews
- Prepare and present project dashboards, MIS reports, and executive summaries.
- Conduct weekly and monthly planning reviews with management and project teams.
- Provide forecasting on project completion, resource requirements, and potential risks.
Risk Management
- Identify planning and execution risks that may impact project timelines.
- Develop mitigation and recovery strategies to minimize project delays.
- Support claims, extension of time (EOT), and schedule-related documentation when required.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor Planning Managers, Planning Engineers, and Coordinators.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function.
- Ensure consistency and quality of planning deliverables across all regions.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, QS, Contracts, MEP, Execution, and Client teams to ensure project alignment.
- Support project teams in resolving schedule-related challenges and constraints.
Any Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management in line with organizational requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- Master's Degree or PMP/Project Management certification preferred.
Experience
- 12–15 years of experience in Project Planning and Project Controls.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Commercial Interior Fit-Out projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership experience managing planning teams across regions.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Expertise in critical path analysis, delay analysis, and recovery planning.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and commercial interior fit-out execution.
- Strong MIS reporting and data analysis capabilities.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
