Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain batch processing applications using Spring Batch
Collaborate with business stakeholders and architects to understand data processing requirements
Develop high-performance and scalable ETL/data processing pipelines
Optimize batch jobs for performance, reliability, and scalability
Handle large volume data processing, scheduling, and monitoring
Integrate batch systems with databases, messaging systems, and REST APIs
Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes in a timely manner
Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

6+ years experience in

Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8 or above)
Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Batch
Experience in building ETL pipelines / batch processing systems
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
Understanding of multithreading and concurrency
Experience with job schedulers (Control-M, Autosys, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Spring Boot
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
