Job Summary
The Training Chef will be responsible for maintaining culinary excellence across all outlets by standardizing recipes, training kitchen staff, and ensuring consistent food quality. The role requires strong expertise in authentic Kerala cuisine, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor teams across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions for kitchen staff on recipes, presentation, hygiene, and SOPs.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and food presentation across all outlets.
- Standardize recipes and preparation methods as per company guidelines.
- Monitor kitchen operations and implement quality control measures.
- Train new hires and conduct refresher training for existing staff.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Assist in menu development and innovation while maintaining authenticity.
- Support outlet openings with kitchen setup and staff training.
- Evaluate staff performance and recommend skill development plans.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef / Sous Chef / Training Chef in a reputed restaurant group.
- Strong expertise in authentic Kerala cuisine.
- Excellent leadership and team training abilities.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen SOPs.
- Willingness to travel across locations.
Experience Required
- 5+ years of relevant culinary experience.
- Prior experience in multi-unit restaurant operations preferred.
