Dementia Care Worker -Male/Female ( Home Care Nursing )
Care Bridge Home is seeking dedicated and experienced Male/Female Dementia Care Workers to provide 24/7 in-home care for male and female clients living with dementia in Kannur and other major districts across Kerala. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in dementia care, nursing skills, strong patience, compassion, and a commitment to providing high-quality, long-term care and support.
Qualification & Requirements:
Care Worker with relevant education and experience in dementia care, including Nursing, Social Work, Mental Health,Community Health, or other relevant care-related education.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care to a client with dementia
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Support cognitive engagement through conversation, routine activities, and calm reassurance
- Monitor behavioural changes such as confusion, agitation, or anxiety and respond appropriately
Mobility & Physiotherapy Support (Preferred)
- Assist with basic physiotherapy exercises as advised by a physiotherapist
- Support safe mobility, transfers, walking, and fall-prevention measures
- Encourage physical activity within the client’s ability
Health Monitoring
- Observe and report changes in health, behaviour, sleep, or appetite
- Assist with medication reminders (as per care plan)
- Maintain basic care records and daily observations
Safety & Supervision
- Provide continuous supervision to ensure client safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and dementia-friendly home environment
- Follow emergency protocols and report incidents promptly
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with clients and their families.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and records of participant interactions and services provided.
- Adhere to the organization’s policies and procedures.
