Job Summary
The MEP Design Engineer is responsible for designing, coordinating, and reviewing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. The role ensures that MEP designs comply with applicable codes, client requirements, project specifications, and sustainability standards while coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems as per project requirements.
- Prepare design calculations, layouts, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Develop MEP drawings using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or BIM software.
- Perform load calculations for HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing fixtures.
- Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural disciplines.
- Review shop drawings and material submittals.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Attend design coordination meetings with clients and consultants.
- Resolve technical issues during design and construction phases.
- Conduct site visits to verify installations and provide technical support.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Support value engineering and energy-efficient design initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–8 years of experience in MEP design (experience level may vary by role).
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting system design.
- Experience in commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, or data center projects is an advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
