Position Summary
As a Software Engineer within our Optum Insight technology team, you will help design, develop, and maintain software applications that simplify and connect the health system. Working in an Agile environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and optimize solutions that improve clinical, administrative, and financial processes. Primary Responsibilities

Apply solid coding skills to design, develop, and maintain software capabilities or tasks in accordance with team guidelines.

Build a fundamental understanding of underlying software architectures and how they relate to specific solution and business needs.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional data engineering or software development experience

3+ years of experience with SQL

2+ years of experience working within an Agile development framework

2+ years of experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Experience with building scalable, reliable, and secure applications and data solutions

Solid proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning
Preferred Qualifications

Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar enterprise-approved coding assistants) to enhance coding productivity and efficiency

Experience with ADF Data Pipeline building
