About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with routing, switching, network security, and troubleshooting across LAN/WAN environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our network systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and hardware/software issues.
- Design and implement LAN/WAN architecture in line with organizational requirements.
- Configure and manage VLANs, port security, and network segmentation.
- Support and troubleshoot routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, RIP).
- Administer firewall rules, security policies, and monitor network security events.
- Support VoIP and unified communications systems, including IP phones and voice gateways.
- Plan and execute structured cabling and fiber optic installations, including splicing, termination, and testing.
- Install and maintain surveillance/security systems where applicable (IP/analog cameras).
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to resolve escalated network issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and SOPs.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and cross-functional teams for upgrades and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching (Cisco or equivalent platforms).
- Familiarity with firewall administration and basic network security principles.
- Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, or BGP.
- Working knowledge of SD-WAN, VoIP, or wireless networking technologies (a plus).
- Basic understanding of structured cabling and fiber optics.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities to work with internal teams and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting network infrastructure in enterprise, industrial, or data center environments.
- Exposure to network monitoring tools and remote support platforms.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunications, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
