Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated L2 Engineer with 5–6 years of experience in Windows system administration, cloud platforms, and infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L2 support for Windows Servers and IT infrastructure environments.
Administer and manage Windows Server (2008/2012/2016/2019/2022) environments.
Handle Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), DNS, and user access management.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure timely resolution.
Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware (VM creation, snapshots, patching).
Support cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) including VM provisioning, networking, and backups.
Perform patch management, backup and recovery operations.
Work on incident, problem, and change management as per ITIL processes.
Maintain system documentation, reports, and knowledge base articles.
Coordinate with L3 teams and vendors for critical issue resolution.
Ensure adherence to security standards and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
Strong experience in Windows Server Administration
Hands-on experience with Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP
Experience in VMware / Hyper-V virtualization
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Azure or AWS Cloud
Knowledge of backup tools (Veeam / NetBackup / similar)
Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
Understanding of networking fundamentals
Experience with patching, security updates, and system hardening
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Exposure to Microsoft 365 / Azure AD
Basic understanding of SOC operations / security tools
Certification such as MCSE, Azure (AZ-104), AWS, ITIL
Soft Skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Good communication and client-handling abilities
Ability to work in a 24/7 support environment (if required)
Team player with proactive attitude
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
Relevant certifications are a plus
