Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, qualified, and enthusiastic German & French Language Teacher to develop students’ language proficiency through engaging and interactive teaching. The teacher will focus on speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging German and French language lessons according to the school curriculum.
- Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and study materials.
- Conduct conversation practice, role plays, presentations, quizzes, and interactive activities.
- Assess students through written tests, oral examinations, projects, and classroom activities.
- Provide additional and remedial support to students when required.
- Introduce students to the culture, traditions, history, festivals, and everyday life of German- and French-speaking countries.
- Organize language clubs, cultural events, competitions, quizzes, and other language activities.
- Use smart-class technology, audio-visual resources, and digital learning tools.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and student progress records.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress when required.
- Participate in examinations, staff meetings, school events, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Encourage students to develop confidence and practical communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in German, French, Foreign Languages, Linguistics, or a related field.
- B.Ed. / equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred.
- Strong proficiency in German and/or French appropriate to the teaching level.
- Goethe-Zertifikat or DELF/DALF certification will be an advantage.
- Previous teaching experience in a school or language institute is preferred.
