Job Summary:
A General Medicine Doctor (MD) is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with various acute and chronic medical conditions. The doctor provides comprehensive medical care, conducts clinical examinations, prescribes treatments, and coordinates with other specialists for patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine patients and diagnose medical conditions.
- Provide treatment plans and prescribe medications.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment when necessary.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient medical cases.
- Handle medical emergencies and critical cases.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, scans, and diagnostic reports.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation.
- Provide preventive healthcare advice and patient counseling.
- Coordinate with specialists for advanced treatment and referrals.
- Supervise junior doctors, interns, and nursing staff when required.
- Follow hospital protocols, ethical standards, and medical guidelines.
- Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and medical meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- MBBS with MD in General Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Valid Medical Council Registration.
- Relevant clinical experience preferred.
