1. Incubation Management
- Collect and handle eggs carefully for incubation.
- Load eggs into incubators according to incubation schedules.
- Monitor and maintain correct temperature, humidity, and ventilation levels.
- Operate and maintain incubators and hatchers.
2. Egg Monitoring
- Perform egg candling to check fertility and embryo development.
- Identify and remove infertile or damaged eggs.
- Maintain proper egg turning schedules where required.
3. Hatch Management
- Monitor the hatching process and assist newly hatched chicks if necessary.
- Transfer eggs from incubators to hatchers at the appropriate stage.
- Record hatch rates and report abnormalities.
4. Hygiene & Biosecurity
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of incubation equipment and hatchery area.
- Follow strict biosecurity protocols to prevent contamination or disease.
5. Record Keeping
- Maintain records of egg batches, incubation dates, hatchability rates, and chick health.
- Report daily incubation performance to supervisors.
6. Equipment Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspection of incubators, thermometers, and humidity systems.
- Report equipment malfunction for timely maintenance.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of bird breeding and incubation processes
- Ability to monitor environmental parameters (temperature, humidity)
- Attention to detail and record maintenance
- Ability to work in controlled hatchery environments
Qualification
- Minimum 10th / 12th pass
- Experience in poultry hatchery or bird breeding farms preferred
