Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Statutory Compliance professional to manage and oversee the Company's GST, TDS/TCS and other statutory tax compliances. The candidate will be responsible for timely filing of returns, tax computation and payments, handling departmental queries, reconciliations, and providing support during statutory audits.
Key Responsibilities
GST Compliance
- Prepare and file monthly GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Compute GST liability and ensure timely payment of taxes.
- Perform GST reconciliation and monitor Input Tax Credit (ITC).
- Coordinate for preparation and filing of GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C, wherever applicable.
- Handle GST notices, queries and correspondence from GST authorities.
- Prepare necessary replies and supporting documents for GST-related matters.
- Keep track of changes in GST laws, rules and notifications.
TDS / TCS Compliance
- Calculate monthly TDS/TCS liability and ensure timely payment.
- Prepare and file quarterly returns including 24Q, 26Q and 27EQ.
- Reconcile TDS/TCS records with books and tax statements.
- Handle TDS/TCS-related queries and notices from the Income Tax Department.
- Prepare replies and supporting documents for departmental queries.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable TDS/TCS requirements.
Statutory Audit Support
- Provide schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents to statutory auditors.
- Coordinate with auditors for resolving audit queries.
- Assist in finalisation of accounts and statutory audit.
- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory records and supporting documents.
General Compliance
- Maintain and monitor the statutory compliance calendar.
- Ensure all statutory returns and payments are completed within prescribed timelines.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants for tax and statutory matters.
- Maintain proper records of returns, challans, reconciliations, notices and submissions.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and TCS compliance.
- Practical experience in filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, 24Q, 26Q and 27EQ.
- Experience in handling GST and Income Tax notices/queries.
- Good knowledge of accounting and taxation.
- Strong MS Excel and ERP/accounting software skills.
- Good analytical, reconciliation and documentation skills.
- Ability to work accurately within statutory deadlines.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting.
- M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or relevant taxation qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in GST, TDS/TCS and statutory compliance.
- Experience in a manufacturing or corporate environment will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organised and capable of independently managing statutory compliance activities while coordinating effectively with auditors, consultants and government authorities.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
