Role Overview
As our project accountant, you will own the day-to-day bookkeeping cycle by utilizing the core functions of Zoho Books. Since we are expanding our use of accounting systems for GST filings and E-invoicing, you will play a critical role in streamlining our accounts. Your primary focus will be managing project-wise tracking, processing purchase orders (POs), converting vendor bills, and ensuring our financial records perfectly match our site realities using our internal data reporting system.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Zoho Books Operations: Daily use of Zoho Books to manage the complete procurement workflow, from creating Purchase Orders (POs) to converting them accurately into Bills.
- Manual Payment Processing in Zoho: Record and track manual bill payments within Zoho Books, clear outstanding vendor balances, and maintain an accurate account of cash flows without automated bank feeds.
- Project Job-Costing: Utilize Zoho's project tracking features to associate material costs (cement, steel, machinery) and subcontractor bills with their specific government projects to track site-wise profitability.
- Tax Compliance Readiness: Maintain meticulous data logs within Zoho Books to assist the team with upcoming GST filings, GSTR-2B reconciliations, and instant E-invoicing.
- Data Collection & Form Submission: Coordinate with site personnel to gather daily expense and material details; based on the information provided, accurately fill out and submit the internal Microsoft Forms before entering the data into the accounting system.
Key Job Details & Benefits
- Salary: ₹25,000 per month (Gross CTC).
- Deductions & Benefits: PF & ESI/Insurance benefits are provided. The contributions are split evenly per statutory guidelines (50% deducted from the employee's salary and a matching 50% contributed/borne entirely by the employer).
- Job Timings: 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM (Fixed Day Shift, Monday to Saturday).
- Hiring Timeline: Candidates with a 4-week notice period or those who can join within a month are welcome to apply.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of core accounting experience. Prior experience working in the construction, real estate, or infrastructure sector is an advantage.
- Software Skills: Mandatory hands-on experience using core Zoho Books features (POs, Bills, and Manual Journal Entries). Must also be comfortable using Microsoft Forms and Excel to input and manage data.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong foundation in basic accounting principles (Debits/Credits, Ledger Management, Asset tracking, and Liability mapping).

Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
