Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our R&D Production Support Team. The candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting automated test systems, industrial communication interfaces, production tools, and shopfloor IT solutions. The role requires strong programming expertise in Python and/or C#, along with hands-on experience in automation systems, databases, and production support environments.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test systems, testing equipment, and software interfaces using Python, C/C++, and C#

Design and implement industrial communication interfaces such as Profinet, OPC-UA, CAN, SCPI, and RS232/485
-
Create and maintain databases, data evaluation tools, and reporting systems using SQL Server
-
Develop hardware and software solutions for test fixtures and production equipment
-
Perform VBA programming for customer protocols, reporting, and automation tools
-
Configure ELAM worker guidance systems and assembly process workflows
-
Support 3D design and printing activities for fixtures, housings, and production aids
-
Provide on-site Level 1 IT and shopfloor production support
-
Support production transfers, testing activities, troubleshooting, and process optimization
-
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Engineering
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field

Strong programming skills in Python and/or C#
-
Knowledge of C/C++ programming will be an added advantage

Experience with industrial communication protocols and automation systems
-
Hands-on experience with SQL databases and VBA programming
-
Basic understanding of electronics, hardware development, and test systems

Familiarity with production support and manufacturing environments
-
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
-
Good communication skills in English
-
German language knowledge will be an added advantage
