Role description
Role: Test Manager / Quality Lead (L2)
Candidate should be flexible to support US shift overlap and ensure availability until 9:00 PM IST as required.
- Define and own QCOE test standards across IT and UAT.
- Ensure consistent testing practices across programs and vendor teams.
- Act as the quality authority in governance forums and release discussions.
- Drive quality decisions based on risk assessment and business impact.
- Assess testing maturity across applications and delivery teams.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives aligned with the QCOE vision.
- Transition teams from activity-based testing to outcome-driven quality.
- Promote early QA involvement and enforce shift-left practices.
- Define and implement an enterprise-wide test coverage model (requirements, risk, and business journeys).
- Ensure metrics focus on confidence levels and risk reduction rather than volume-based outputs.
- Govern and enhance Power BI quality dashboards for leadership insights.
- Correlate test coverage effectiveness with defect leakage and production stability.
- Ensure UAT execution is aligned to business scenarios and end-to-end journeys.
- Validate that UAT sign-offs are evidence-based, measurable, and auditable.
- Strengthen UAT discipline to reduce post-release defects and production incidents.
- Own and manage the test audit framework and its execution.
- Lead internal and external quality audits.
- Drive closure of audit findings in collaboration with delivery leadership.
- Ensure continuous audit readiness across programs.
- Engage with program managers, architects, business stakeholders, and vendors.
- Provide independent and unbiased quality assessments.
- Constructively challenge gaps in testing practices and delivery quality.
- Mentor QCOE Test Leads and influence delivery-side Test Leads.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, IT testing, and UAT processes
- Experience in reviewing:
- Test plans
- Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTMs)
- Test execution reports and metrics
- Proficient in tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, ALM, qTest
- Exposure to Power BI or quality dashboards (preferred)
- Strong stakeholder communication and influencing skills
- Experience in audit management and quality assessments
- 7–10 years of experience in testing, QA, or quality engineering roles
