Job Summary
Accupack Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for our machine manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of mechanical components, machining processes, vendor development, and cost optimization. Candidates from the Machine Manufacturing Industry will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Source and identify potential vendors and suppliers for manufacturing requirements.
Develop and maintain a strong vendor base for machining, fabrication, and sheet metal components.
Read and understand engineering drawings to support procurement activities.
Understand manufacturing processes and select suitable vendors accordingly.
Handle procurement of machining components manufactured on CNC, VMC, Turning, Milling, and related machines.
Manage purchasing of sheet metal, fabricated, and bought-out components.
Compare and evaluate quotations based on quality, price, delivery timelines, and technical specifications.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, QA, and Stores departments for procurement requirements.
Review quality of purchased materials and coordinate with the QA team for supplier quality issues.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, supplier data, and delivery schedules.
Prepare purchase reports, cost analysis reports, and procurement MIS.
Perform cost estimation and cost-saving initiatives for manufacturing items.
Attend supplier meetings, trade fairs, and industry exhibitions to stay updated with market trends and sourcing opportunities.
Requirements & Skills
3 to 6 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in the Machine Manufacturing Industry.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, fabrication, and sheet metal manufacturing.
Experience in purchasing CNC/VMC machined components, fabricated parts, and sheet metal components.
Proven experience in vendor development and supplier management.
Strong negotiation and cost optimization skills.
Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP software.
Good understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and procurement planning.
Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualification
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
