Job Summary
The Sales & Application Manager is responsible for leading sales activities and providing application-based technical solutions in industrial automation. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, preparing techno-commercial proposals, and supporting customers with automation solutions such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, control panels, and instrumentation systems. The position requires strong coordination with engineering, project, and service teams to ensure successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial automation and control systems.
- Achieve sales targets and revenue growth as per company objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, OEMs, and system integrators.
- Conduct technical presentations, solution discussions, and customer meetings.
2. Application Engineering & Solution Development
- Understand customer process requirements and propose suitable automation solutions.
- Provide technical support for PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Develop system architecture, solution concepts, and application designs.
3. Proposal & Tender Management
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Review customer specifications and develop suitable automation solutions.
- Coordinate with internal design and engineering teams for costing and technical details.
4. Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain long-term customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address customer queries, technical clarifications, and solution improvements.
- Handle customer feedback and support issue resolution.
5. Project Coordination & Execution Support
- Coordinate with project, design, and commissioning teams for smooth project execution.
- Ensure proper handover from sales to project execution teams.
- Monitor project progress and support technical discussions with customers.
6. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, new technologies, and competitor activities in industrial automation.
- Identify new industries, applications, and opportunities for business growth.
- Provide strategic inputs to management for business expansion.
7. Team Leadership & Management
- Guide and support the sales and application engineering team.
- Provide technical training and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Ensure team performance aligns with company goals and targets.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in industrial automation sales, application engineering, or solution development.
- Experience in technical sales, project coordination, and automation system solutions.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, Industrial Communication Networks, Control Panels, and Field Instrumentation.
- Ability to understand P&ID, electrical schematics, and automation architecture.
- Experience in automation system integration and industrial process applications.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
