Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to oversee procurement operations, vendor management, sourcing strategies, and inventory planning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of quality materials and services while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies to support business operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best value.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitions, purchase orders, and contract administration.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast purchasing requirements.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to optimize procurement decisions.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for projects and operations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and performance metrics for management review.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/procurement systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the FMCG industry is an advantage.
- Experience in the construction, infrastructure, or manufacturing sectors is an advantage.
- Knowledge of contract management and strategic sourcing practices is preferred.
