Job Summary
GD Goenka School is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Cricket Coach to develop students' cricketing skills while promoting teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship. The ideal candidate should be capable of coaching students across different age groups, preparing school teams for inter-school and state-level tournaments, and creating a structured training environment that encourages excellence in sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct structured cricket coaching sessions for students from Primary to Senior School.
- Develop age-appropriate training programs focusing on batting, bowling, fielding, wicket-keeping, fitness, and match strategy.
- Identify and nurture talented players for school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Prepare school teams for inter-school tournaments, CBSE sports events, and other competitive championships.
- Organize team selections, practice matches, and cricket camps.
- Monitor students' performance and maintain progress records.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of cricket equipment and sports facilities.
- Promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, and fair play among students.
- Coordinate with school management for sports events and annual sports day.
- Ensure student safety by following all safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Stay updated with modern coaching techniques and cricket regulations.
- Maintain positive communication with parents regarding students' sports development when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) / Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) preferred.
- NIS Certification in Cricket or equivalent coaching certification from a recognized cricket body is highly desirable.
- BCCI Level 1/Level 2 Coaching Certification will be an added advantage.
- First Aid and CPR Certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience coaching cricket in a reputed CBSE/ICSE/IB school, academy, or sports institution.
- Experience in preparing teams for competitive tournaments.
- Proven record of developing young cricketers.
