We currently have an Speacialist position available with our client, Azets Bristol in the Compliance division.
Role Overview:
To support the UK Compliance Director and senior manager in assisting the ongoing improvement and minimisation of regulatory risk. Awareness of and practical experience in the areas of AML, Investment Business, Practice Assurance and Client Money Regulations are desirable, with a working knowledge of ICAEW or similar regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to internal compliance tickets and queries in a timely manner

Support the wider Compliance team with day-to-day regulatory and compliance activities

Update and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and guidance documents

Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and checks to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards

Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance-related matters

Assist with regulatory reporting and communications with relevant regulatory and professional bodies

Stay up to date with changes in legislation, regulations, and industry, best practices

Perform sanctions screening, AML/KYC checks, and other client due diligence activities

Conduct conflict checks on prospective clients and communicates findings to relevant stakeholders

Support ad hoc compliance projects and process improvement initiatives
Key Accountabilities

Ensure compliance tickets and queries are resolved within agreed service levels

Maintain accurate compliance records, data, and policy documentation

Support the consistent implementation of regulatory and compliance processes across the business

Collaborate effectively with compliance colleagues, service lines, stakeholders, and corporate functions

Identify and escalate compliance risks where appropriate
Skills & experience
-
Understanding compliance, risk management, AML/KYC, and regulatory requirements

Experience working within a regulated environment such as an accounting firm, professional services firm, financial services organization, consulting firm, or corporate compliance function
-
Exposure to UK regulatory frameworks (FCA, ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA, CAI) would be advantageous but is not essential

Candidates with experience of Indian regulatory frameworks, corporate governance, risk, compliance, or internal controls are also encouraged to apply

Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working with compliance-related data and reporting

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a data-driven environment
