Assistant Lift Technician / Junior Lift Technician (Installation)
The TPI – Elevators is responsible for carrying out third-party inspections, testing, and quality verification of elevator installations to ensure compliance with approved specifications, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform inspections of elevator installation activities at site.
* Verify installation quality as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
* Inspect guide rails, brackets, machine installation, car assembly, doors, wiring, and safety components.
* Witness testing and commissioning of elevators.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and applicable lift standards.
* Prepare inspection reports, punch points, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
* Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and clients for inspections and closures.
* Monitor corrective actions and verify rectification works.
* Maintain inspection records and documentation.
* Ensure safe working practices during inspection activities.

JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Lift Technician (Installation) supports the installation of elevator systems at project sites. The role involves assisting in mechanical erection, alignment, and setup of elevator components while strictly following safety procedures and site instructions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation Activities
· Assist in template installation and layout marking
· Support guide rail installation and alignment
· Assist in bracket fixing and drilling work
· Support landing door and car door installation
· Assist in machine installation and positioning
· Support car frame and counterweight installation
· Assist in cabin installation and roping activities
· Tools & Equipment Handling
· Use hand tools (spanners, drills, levels, etc.) safely
· Assist in handling power tools and lifting equipment
· Maintain tools and ensure proper storage
· Follow basic installation drawings
· Work as per supervisor instructions
· Assist in measurement and alignment checks
· Follow all site safety rules and procedures
· Use PPE (helmet, gloves, harness, safety shoes)
· Assist in safe material handling and working at heights
· Maintain clean and hazard-free work area
· Assist in shifting and positioning elevator components
· Support loading/unloading of materials
· Ensure proper handling to avoid damage
· Report daily work progress to supervisor
· Inform senior technician about issues or delays
