The Distribution Executive is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and hygienic distribution of food from the kitchen to designated delivery points. The role involves coordinating vehicle dispatch, monitoring delivery schedules, maintaining distribution records, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDistribution Operations
- Plan and coordinate daily food distribution activities as per approved routes and schedules.
- Ensure timely dispatch of food to schools, Anna Canteens, and other feeding locations.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities to prevent delays and product damage.
- Verify food quantities and dispatch records before vehicle departure.
Vehicle & Route Management
- Coordinate with drivers and distribution staff to ensure smooth transportation.
- Monitor vehicle availability and report maintenance requirements.
- Track vehicle movement and ensure adherence to assigned routes and timelines.
- Assist in optimizing routes to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
Food Safety & Quality
- Ensure food containers are properly sealed, labeled, and handled during transportation.
- Monitor vehicle cleanliness and sanitization before loading.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards during distribution.
- Report any food quality concerns immediately to the concerned departments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily dispatch records, delivery logs, vehicle checklists, and route reports.
- Track delivery performance and report delays, shortages, or deviations.
- Prepare daily and monthly distribution reports.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, and Transport departments for smooth operations.
- Supervise distribution assistants, loaders, and drivers during dispatch activities.
- Ensure proper communication between the kitchen and delivery locations.
Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Address issues related to food delivery, shortages, or delays.
- Maintain positive relationships with feeding centers, schools, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in distribution, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in food distribution or large-scale catering operations is preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of logistics and distribution operations.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage delivery schedules and transportation activities.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, and reporting).
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
