Job Description – Mining Engineer Job Title: Mining Engineer Department: Mining / Operations Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 2–5 years Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering qualification Location: bangalore Salary: 100000 Industry: Mining / Quarry / Construction Job Summary We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mining Engineer to oversee mining and quarry operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective mineral extraction. The candidate will be responsible for mine planning, production monitoring, drilling and blasting activities, equipment utilization, workforce coordination, and compliance with applicable mining, safety, and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Plan, supervise, and monitor day-to-day mining and quarry operations. Prepare and implement short-term and long-term mining plans. Monitor production targets, extraction rates, and operational efficiency. Supervise drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, and transportation activities. Ensure drilling and blasting operations are carried out safely and efficiently. Monitor deployment and utilization of mining equipment and machinery. Coordinate with geologists, surveyors, operators, contractors, and site management. Conduct site inspections and identify operational and safety risks. Ensure compliance with applicable mining laws, statutory requirements, and safety standards. Maintain proper records of production, equipment utilization, manpower, and mining activities. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and operational reports. Monitor fuel consumption, material movement, and operational costs. Assist in budgeting, resource planning, and procurement of mining equipment and materials. Ensure proper handling and storage procedures for explosives, where applicable. Implement environmental protection and mine rehabilitation practices. Identify operational problems and recommend practical solutions to improve productivity. Train and supervise mining staff and ensure adherence to safe working procedures. Coordinate with management to achieve production, quality, safety, and cost targets. Required Skills Strong knowledge of mining and quarry operations. Knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques. Good understanding of mine planning and production management. Knowledge of mining safety and statutory regulations. Ability to manage site teams and contractors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to prepare technical and operational reports. Knowledge of AutoCAD/mining software will be an advantage. Willingness to work at mining/quarry sites and in challenging field conditions. Educational Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Diploma in Mining Engineering may be considered based on relevant experience. Relevant statutory certifications/licences will be an advantage, depending on the mine and applicable regulations. Preferred Experience 2–5 years of relevant experience in mining, quarrying, excavation, drilling/blasting, or related operations. Candidates with hands-on experience in quarry/mining site operations will be preferred.
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹1,139,079.72 per month
