Position Summary
The Production Planning & Control (PPC) Leader is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling all manufacturing activities to ensure timely delivery of luxury furniture projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and resource utilization. The role acts as a bridge between Sales, Design, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams to ensure seamless execution of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop master production plans based on customer orders, project timelines, and delivery commitments.
- Prepare weekly and monthly production schedules for all manufacturing departments.
- Allocate resources, manpower, machinery, and production capacity effectively.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet changing priorities.
Production Control & Monitoring
- Track production status against planned schedules and identify bottlenecks.
- Ensure timely completion of furniture manufacturing activities across all stages.
- Conduct daily production review meetings with department heads.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
- Generate production reports and performance dashboards for management review.
Order Management & Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales, Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams for order execution.
- Review approved drawings, BOMs, specifications, and project timelines before production release.
- Ensure all materials, hardware, veneers, fabrics, and finishes are available as per production schedules.
- Monitor project-wise production milestones and delivery commitments.
Inventory & Material Planning
- Plan material requirements based on production schedules and project demand.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
- Optimize material utilization and minimize wastage.
Capacity Planning
- Evaluate manufacturing capacity and workforce requirements.
- Balance workloads across production departments and subcontractors.
- Recommend production improvements to maximize efficiency and throughput.
Quality & Delivery Management
- Work closely with the Quality team to ensure products meet luxury furniture standards.
- Ensure production schedules align with quality inspection and dispatch plans.
- Monitor on-time delivery performance and implement corrective actions when required.
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement production planning systems and SOPs.
- Improve productivity, lead times, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Analyze production data and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and process optimization practices.
MIS & Reporting
- Maintain accurate production records and planning documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Track KPIs related to production efficiency, utilization, delivery performance, and inventory.
- Present operational performance reports to senior management.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Additional certifications in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Lean Manufacturing, or ERP Systems will be an advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Production Planning & Control.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership role within furniture manufacturing, woodworking, joinery, or luxury interiors manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Experience in coordinating with Design, Drafting, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Dispatch teams.

Additional Requirement – AutoCAD (Mandatory)
Technical Skills (Mandatory):
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing production drawings, shop drawings, furniture detailing, and manufacturing layouts.
- Ability to interpret and validate technical drawings, joinery details, material specifications, and production documentation.
- Coordinate with Design and Drafting teams to ensure production-ready drawings are released as per manufacturing schedules.
- Knowledge of production drawings, cutting lists, nesting plans, BOMs, and workshop execution drawings.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced MS Excel for production planning and tracking.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Gurugram, Haryana (Gurugram): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
